A heinous attack took place on the night of March 31, 2025, targeting the rice trading business of the son of Alhaj Abdul Hannan Sarkar, President of the 8 No. Khutamara Model Union Awami League, located in Jaldhaka Upazila, Nilphamari District.
According to reports, local Jamaat leader Shafi, Jubo Dal leader Masud, his brother Shariful, and their accomplices Jablenur, Amin, and Lavlu stormed the shop with locally made weapons. They vandalized the store, looted goods worth 9 to 10 lakh BDT, and finally set the entire warehouse on fire.
What’s worse—the victims have not received justice. Instead, they are being harassed with false and fabricated lawsuits, filed one after another, targeting the innocent family members of the victim.
